Ampam Parks Mechanical has acquired 17036 Avalon Boulevard in Carson, California. The 50,000-square foot, single-story building will be completely rehabbed to serve as the plumbing and mechanical contractor’s corporate headquarters. The renovation will feature new offices, hardscape and landscape improvements and facade enhancements, including adding windows to bring in more natural light.
The new headquarters will house approximately 100 employees. AMPAM is relocating from 1060 Wilmington Boulevard in Wilmington, California.
Bart Pucci, senior managing director of Savills Studley, represented the company in the transaction.
“Our client needed a facility that could accommodate its expansion and we examined a range of alternatives, from purchasing an existing property to undertaking a build-to-suit,” said Pucci. “This particular property, which had recently fallen out of escrow, was well-suited to AMPAM’s needs and our client had the knowledge and resources to execute quickly and seize the opportunity.”
The listing brokers were Sean Lieppman and Greg Gill of Lee and Associates.
Matt Simon of SimonGlover Inc., an architectural services firm, has been engaged to lead the renovation of the property.
AMPAM serves Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties and is the primary plumbing contractor for the Irvine Co.
