Safety is Priority One at AMPAM Parks Mechanical. Workplace safety is considered one of our most important investments, and we dedicate substantial resources to it every day.

In fact, AMPAM’s comprehensive safety program is considered one of the best in the industry by our loss prevention advisors, and as evidenced by our safety statistics. It includes ongoing education and on-the-job training designed to protect the safety of our employees, customers and the public.

We elevate awareness, and instill confidence so that our team is qualified to respond to safety issues effectively during emergencies. Our focus is accident prevention, with the goal of ZERO incidents.

Executive Safety Committee

Our principals, including CEO Buddy Parks, President John Parks, and CFO James Wright, are involved at a hands-on level, and monitor our safety results daily. James leads the Executive Safety Committee, a group that meets monthly to review ongoing safety-related practices and statistics. Since workplace safety is always changing, we strive to keep our both our field and office teams up-to-date on the latest developments.

AMPAM has a team of trained safety specialists on staff. Our safety professionals understand the importance of spending time in the field observing and coaching foremen and crew members daily. We understand that behavioral modification is the best method to use in achieving our “safety first” culture, and promote it on all of our work sites.

AMPAM’s Comprehensive Safety Program Includes:

  • Monthly Executive Safety Committee meetings, led by the Manager of Safety. These meetings include senior executives, risk managers and the safety team.
  • Employee “Stop Work” Authority. This authorizes and empowers every employee to stop work when they detect a dangerous activity or condition.
  • A highly sensitive hiring process to ensure we select employees with the right attitude and commitment to safety.
  • Intensive New Hire Orientation with detailed training on AMPAM’s Safety Program.
  • Foreman’s manuals that place compreampam safety work sitehensive policies, procedures and forms at their “finger tips.” These documents allow our foremen to safely and successfully complete jobs while minimizing risk.
  • Ongoing safety training to ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
  • A Safety Bonus Incentive Program that rewards foremen and superintendents based on safety performance at all work sites.
  • Emergency Safety Alerts are communicated throughout the company.
  • Daily Jobsite Tailgate Safety Meetings.
  • Monthly “All-Hands” Safety Meetings.
  • Bi-annual company-wide foremen and superintendents safety meetings.
  • A Construction Motor Vehicle and Driver Qualification Policy that ensures all vehicles and equipment are expertly operated and maintained.
  • In-house OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 training for all foremen, superintendents and leadsmen.
